Hi, it’s Rick, your Hope & Cope executive director with a mark the date message and reminder.

You’re all invited on Sunday September 10 to join us for the 16th Annual Group Dorval-Sources-St.-Henri Walk-a-thon. It takes place at St-Maxime Park in Laval between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

It’s a terrific event, and all the money raised goes towards supporting Hope & Cope’s exercise and rehabilitation program, which is critical to patient care and patient recovery during and after treatment.

Group Dorval-Sources-St.-Henri has helped raise more than $950,000 over the past 15 years. We are very close to the million-dolar mark.

You’re invited to help us surpass that $1 million mark this year.

So it’s a terrific and fun family event. Bring your friends, your family, bring your four legged buddies. I’ll be bringing my dog, Finch, and we’ll join the entire Hope & Cope group.

So please, make it a date Sunday, September 10. Come help us crack the million dollar mark.

Don’t forget the open house

Next Wednesday, September 6, please join us at the Hope & Cope Wellness Centre’s Sweet 16th birthday.

This was our open house which was scheduled to have taken on August 30, but Mother Nature intervened. We’ve we postponed it until next Wednesday, September 6, when the weather promises to be a whole lot better. It will be a wonderful day.

You’ll get to meet the staff and volunteers. There will be a barbecue, a corn roast, cake and many activities that will help illustrate some of the programs that we run at Hope & Cope for all of our participants.
