Palliative Care Unit Holiday Gift-Giving Program

Once again, the Hope & Cope Palliative Care Team is organizing a heartwarming gift-giving program. For many patients, this will be the last Christmas or Chanukah they will spend with their families and it means so much to them not just to receive, but to give.

Throughout December and January, patients at the end of life will be able to select a gift to give to their loved ones.

The success of this program depends on YOUR generosity. We will be collecting gifts throughout November and December. Cash donations to purchase gifts will also be gratefully accepted.

NEW gifts only, please. Here are some suggestions to help you:

  • Colourful and fun kitchen gadgets
  • Picture frames
  • Toys
  • Stationery and envelopes
  • Office supplies
  • Cellophane bags for wrapping the gifts

You can drop off your gifts:

  • From Monday to Thursday at the Palliative Care office Room B-400.1 of the Jewish General Hospital. We can also have one of our volunteers meet you at the Hospital Main entrance, for pick up. – 3755, chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine.

For more information or to schedule a pick up at the main entrance of the JGH, please contact Rifka Hanfling, Palliative Care Coordinator for Hope & Cope: rhanfling@jgh.mcgill.ca, 514-340-8222, x 23985.

We thank you for your generosity!
