Judy Bridgwater-François

Oncology Support Program Coordinator

Judy is an experienced nurse with a passion for oncology and over 30 years of compassionate care under her belt. Her career started in oncology at the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) in 2002. She was also fortunate enough to relocate 8 months on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, to complete an internship toward her Master’s Degree in Primary Health Nursing.

Though she explored opportunities in teaching, community health, pharmaceuticals, and telehealth, it was oncology that always felt like home. Ultimately, it lead her back to the JGH.

For years, she volunteered with Hope and Cope, where she facilitated weekend retreats for young adults with cancer. She has raised over $12,000 for cancer research and is closely involved with the Knitted Knockers Organization (Nichons Tricotés du Québec).

Shes a mother of three, and you rarely find her without her knitting needles or crochet hook, always working on her next project.
