Marcelle Kecman Wins “Caring Beyond” Award

An initiative of the hospital’s Humanization of Care Committee, the Caring Beyond award recognizes staff who consistently go the extra mile and who exhibit extraordinary acts of kindness and compassion towards patients and their families.

With her radiant smile and her warm, welcoming manner, Marcelle Kecmanis a dynamo who makes patients, visitors and health care professionals alike feel at home. In fact, you could say that the JGH Hope & Cope Wellness Centre / Lou’s House is her second home, given the sheer number of hours she spends here every week.

As manager of the Centre, Marcelle keeps the place humming – literally! No task is too big or too small, no challenge too difficult for the fluently bilingual native of New Brunswick who first joined the Hope & Cope staff as Office Coordinator in 2004 and was promoted to Wellness Centre Manager in 2008.

Congratulations, Marcelle, on this well-deserved award. We are so proud of you!
