Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Policy

The purpose of this Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Policy is to affirm our commitment to creating and maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment for everyone associated with our organization. We recognize the value and dignity of every individual and strive to create an atmosphere where diversity is embraced, equality is upheld, and inclusiveness is practiced.

We are committed to fostering a culture that respects and promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of our operations and activities. This includes, but is not limited to, our hiring practices, volunteer recruitment, service provision, and community engagement.

We ensure fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all, removing barriers that have prevented the full participation of marginalized groups. We identify and challenge systemic inequities within our policies, programs, and practices.

We value and celebrate the rich variety of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives that different individuals bring to our organization. We recognize that diversity strengthens our ability to innovate and to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive services.

We create an environment where all individuals feel welcomed, respected, supported, and valued. We actively seek out and invite diverse voices and views and encourage the participation of people from all backgrounds, cultures, and experiences.

Implementation and Accountability
  • Leadership at all levels is responsible for implementing this policy and will be held accountable for advancing these principles.
  • We will provide ongoing education and training on EDI to all staff and volunteers.
  • We will regularly review and update our policies and practices to ensure they align with our EDI goals.
  • We will measure and monitor our progress and report on it to our stakeholders.
Complaints and Feedback

Any complaints or feedback regarding EDI can be directed to our designated EDI Officer. We encourage open communication and will address concerns promptly and effectively.

This EDI Policy is a living document that reflects our ongoing commitment to cultivating an environment where everyone’s unique contributions are valued and respected. We recognize that this is a journey and are committed to continuous improvement and learning in our pursuit of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
